The Ghosts - Trichroma

Another day another CD. What stops this relentless listening to new music becoming boring is when you get something that stops you dead in your tracks and you just take a sharp intake of breath. This happened on the first track Hoodoo Voodoo. Three minutes ten seconds into the track they let loose - distorted screaming and invective from the vocals and guitar. Suddenly, you realise that everything was just a build up to that moment. And then you wait as everything calms down to brooding anger knowing that it will all erupt again. And it does, and the second experience of pain is just as good as the first.

I remember I used to have a really crappy Dansette record player when I was young that you could set to repeat play a single. Hoodoo Voodoo was made for it. By the way, it's one of the songs on their MySpace site.
